President’s Update

Neighbors -

Well, summer is about over, and the children are back in school – whether it is preschool, elementary, middle, high school, or college. There are feelings of joy and sadness. We wish all the children a successful year at school.

Thank you to the Events Committee for a fun-filled 4th of July. From bingo to pie eating to bags and fishing tournaments, ending with the ever-popular volleyball tournament! With the great clothing selections, everyone had something to choose from to show their love of TL.

This year, the fall clean-up is scheduled for October 22. There are always plenty of projects to tackle before the winter settles in, so come out to the beach parking lot at 8:00 a.m. We will have coffee and donuts to get you motivated! More information will be in the September and October newsletters.

The boat removal deadline has been extended to November 1st, but if you are done using your boat in October, we would love to have the boat landings cleared off by lake clean-up, as we usually get out there and get rid of the weeds and debris before winter. Remember that if your boat is not removed by November 1, it will be confiscated.

Thank you to the lifeguards for teaching swim lessons and keeping the kids safe this summer. Thank you to the tag checkers for ensuring that only TLIA residents and their guests have access to the beach. They also are another set of eyes watching kids on the beach. We wish you all a great year in school and look forward to having you back next year.

For all of those having Labor Day parties and cookouts, be safe and have fun. We are looking forward to getting together with everyone again at the chili cook-off in mid-October.

Mary Magro,
TLIA President

Welcome New Neighbors

Semion Delibaltov & Marina Savchenko

25576 Paddock Lane

Another family has joined our community just in time for the kids to start at their new school. They were living in Schiller Park but were looking for a wooded lot and a friendly village when they found Tower Lakes. Semion is in the technology field, and Marina is a nurse in Rockford. Son Michael is eight years old and will be in 3rd grade at North Barrington School, while his younger sister, Alexis, is seven years old and will be in the 2nd grade. The family loves spending time outdoors and baking cupcakes and cookies. We welcome them and their yummy treats!

Thomas & Ramune Higgins

250 Scenic Drive

The Higgins Family has moved from Gurnee into their beautiful home on Scenic Drive. They are excited to learn more about the history of their home, which dates back to the start of what we now call Tower Lakes. Thomas is in the construction and plumbing industry. Ramune is a dental assistant at the Great Lakes Naval Base and is an avid gardener. Their son, Thomas, is starting 8th grade at Station Middle School, Viktoria is 15 and will be a sophomore at BHS, and Karolina is 19 and working after graduating from high school. The family enjoys water sports, hiking, boating, golf, and gardening. Say hello as they walk their dogs through town!

Robert & Cindy Pridgen

512 E. Lake Shore Drive

We welcome a new family that has moved here from Los Angeles. They were looking for an area much like ours with a lake, wooded lots, and friendly people. Bob is in supply-chain management, and Cindy is a stay-at-home mom and a professional golfer. They have two boys. Graham is 12 and will start Station Middle School this fall. Charlie will soon be ten and will be in 5th grade at NBS. The family is very active and loves adventure and trying new things. They enjoy golf, archery, boating, travel, and food!
