IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING TOWER LAKES BEACH

• BEACH IS OPEN EFFECTIVE JUNE 26TH
• LIFEGUARDS WILL BE ON DUTY
• MANDATORY CHECK-IN CONTINUES FOR TLIA 2023 BEACH TAGS (red) – NO EXCEPTIONS
• SWIMMING LESSONS BEGIN MONDAY, JUNE 29TH
• Remember to practice social distancing when on the beach*
• Up to 100 people are allowed on the beach at any given time
• Playground equipment (swings) will be open
• REMINDER: NO FISHING FROM THE BEACH ISLAND OR ANY BRIDGES

* Please maintain six (6) foot distance between chairs and umbrellas. Please spread out and utilize the entire sand and grassy areas on Play Island.

WHY THIS UPDATE: The State of Illinois approved moving to Phase 4 of Restore Illinois effective June 26th. These orders regulate how beaches are to be operated during Phase 4. TLIA Members must abide by the rules established for this Phase, especially maintaining safe distances on the beach.

There will continue to be Tag Checkers ensuring only TLIA members are utilizing the Beach and maintaining records if a COVID alert is required.

If beach capacity is reached and members are waiting in line, time on the beach will be limited to two hours. A “first in – first out” method will be used. Please cooperate with the lifeguards should you be asked to leave the beach after your two hours are up. You may immediately get back in line again.

Swimming lessons will start Monday, June 29th.  Swim lessons will continue until August 13th, 2023.

Swim Team will begin the week of July 13th.

All dates and programs are subject to revision or cancellation pending Phase 4 revisions from the State of Illinois and/or the Illinois Department of Public Health.
